Where Good Ideas Come From Ted VS Animation

Even though the Ted Talk video of "Where Good Ideas Come From", I could easily understand the deeper meaning because Steven Johnson took the time to explain and give examples which are related to the main idea. The animation is also useful because it saves time for the viewers and it brings out key words and pictures that explains the whole concept. The animation would be effective for younger audience because the visual is constantly grabbing viewers' attention, while the video would aim toward a more mature group who will sit still for seventeen minutes and gulping every single bit of details and descriptions. I prefer the video because it gives my brain to process and think an rethink about what Steven Johnson is saying. Another thing is that I like to see the speaker's face, eye contact, body gestures, tones, and etc because it makes the speech more serious and interesting for the viewers.. The animation wouldn't do for me because it's fast-paced and and vague.
